The PDL-300 is a manual dummy load bank that applies a resistive load of up to 300 kW at 415 V, 50 or 60 Hz, with a continuous duty rating. Low-heat-emitting resistive elements do the work: metal-sheathed, finned, and made from high-grade nickel resistance wire in U-type form. Built-in heavy-duty industrial fan blowers cool them.

- The fan blowers can run from the load bank's own power or from an external supply.

What it is for
The PDL-300 is for load testing generators. It converts a set's electrical output into heat, so a generator can be brought up to a chosen load and held there while you check how it performs. A resistive load puts real power (kW) on the engine and applies no reactive load. Choose a rating that matches the generator's kW output (kVA multiplied by power factor).
