5.8kVA Cummins Onan Generator QG5800 EFI

The QG5800 EFI is a single phase petrol generator set from Cummins Onan, producing 5800 watts at 230V and 50Hz with a power factor of 1.0, which is 5.8kVA. Its engine is the Cummins Onan OHV EH65V, a 653 cm³ overhead valve petrol engine with electronic fuel injection (EFI) and an electronic governor. Digital voltage regulation looks after the output.

What it will run

Rated current is 25.2 amps at 230V, so everything running at the same time has to stay inside that. Motors and compressors, such as those in pumps, power tools and air conditioners, draw several times their running current as they start, so allow for that surge when you size the load. A power factor of 1.0 means the full 5.8kVA is available as real power. Check each appliance's compliance plate for its power and starting needs.
