The GS037PTY is a 37kVA, three phase, 415V, 50Hz diesel generator set powered by an Isuzu 4JG1T, a four cylinder, 3.059 litre, water cooled, turbocharged engine with direct injection, running at 1500 rpm. It is rated at 37kVA / 29.6kW (Prime), with a brushless four pole alternator, electric start and a ComAp InteliLite MRS16 controller. The set is manufactured in Japan.
Key features
- The ComAp InteliLite MRS16 controller handles monitoring and control of the set.
- Australian receptacles are fitted, two 415V 32A and one 415V 20A three phase plus three 240V 15A single phase, so three phase and single phase equipment can be connected directly to the set.
- Engine and alternator safety devices help protect both if a fault develops.
- Large, lockable maintenance doors give access for servicing.
- Complete fuel filtration with water separation helps keep contaminated fuel away from the engine.
- The sound level is 51 dB(A) at 7 m, a measured figure you can use when choosing where to place the set.
- The brushless alternator has no brushes to wear out or replace.
The 124 litre tank and a consumption of about 8.4 litres an hour at full load give about 14.8 hours of running at full load. Rated current is 51.5A at a power factor of 0.80. Coolant capacity is 10.9 litres of a 50% water, 50% glycol mix, and lubricant capacity is 10.2 litres. The 12V starter motor is rated 2.2kW and the 12V charging alternator 50A.
What it will run
At 29.6kW (Prime), the GS037PTY typically suits a workshop, farm or light industrial site on a three phase supply: lighting, refrigeration, pumps, compressors and machinery. Motors can draw several times their running current at start, so allow headroom for the largest one and spread the load across the three phases. Check the compliance plate on each appliance for its running and starting load, then add them up. A building is connected through a changeover switch installed by a licensed electrician. Send us your load list and we will help with sizing.
The GS037PTY suits workshops, farms, light industry, pumping stations, building sites and commercial premises that need three phase power.
