13.3kVA Isuzu Diesel Generator GS012-ETT

The GS012-ETT is a three phase diesel generator set rated at 12.1kVA prime and 13.3kVA standby at 415V and 50Hz (about 9.7kW prime and 10.6kW standby at its power factor of 0.8). It is powered by a Japanese-made Isuzu 3TNV70, a three cylinder, water-cooled, four-cycle diesel running at 3000rpm, and the alternator is brushless with AVR. Starting is electric, with a Mecc Alte GC250 controller offering manual or auto start and 2-wire remote start.

Key features

• Three 15A 240V single phase sockets and one 20A 415V three phase socket let the set run single phase and three phase equipment directly, with individual RCBO protection on the sockets.
• Socket and hardwire operating modes, with automatic MEN management, let the set either feed its own sockets or connect to a fixed installation.
• Total harmonic distortion of 3.5% at no load and 2.5% at full load gives a clean waveform that suits electronic equipment as well as motors.

At the prime rating the set uses about 3.7 litres an hour, and the 40 litre tank gives about 10.5 hours of running.

At 12.1kVA prime and 13.3kVA standby, the GS012-ETT typically suits small workshops, site compounds and farm sheds with a mix of single phase and three phase loads, such as lighting, power tools, pumps and compressors. Spread single phase loads across the three phases and allow headroom for motor starting, because pumps, compressors and air conditioners can draw several times their running current at start. Check the compliance plate on each machine for its running and starting watts.
