80kW Genelite Load Bank GLB-80

The GLB-80 is an automatic resistive load bank with a load range of 0 to 80 kW at 415 V and 50 or 60 Hz, unity power factor and a continuous duty rating. It is designed for permanent installation, indoors or outdoors.

What it is for

Cylinder glazing is a hard, glossy film that can form on the bore of an engine run at low load, and wet stacking is unburnt fuel building up in a diesel engine's exhaust. The GLB-80 is used to avoid both by maintaining a minimum load on a generator, and to run on-site tests. Typical sites are mining camps, data centres, commercial buildings, telecommunications and essential services, as well as defence and pump stations. The load is resistive, so it applies real power (kW) and no reactive load: size it from the generator's kW output (kVA multiplied by power factor), and send us the make, model and rating if you would like help.
