What it will run

Sizing the GH85 comes down to two numbers: the running load of everything that operates together, and the starting demand of the hardest motor. Use the 85kVA prime figure for loads that run regularly and the 93kVA standby figure for emergency supply. Typical loads are lighting, pumps, compressors, refrigeration, workshop machinery and other three phase equipment. A large motor can draw several times its running current as it starts, so stage the starts or leave headroom. Spread single phase loads across the phases and check each machine's compliance plate.
