The GKD8000 is a single phase diesel generator rated 8kVA / 6.4kW. It is powered by a Kubota diesel engine and custom-built for military applications.

What it will run

At 6.4kW the GKD8000 works out to about 27A of single phase current (watts divided by 240). That suits a modest group of loads such as lighting, small power tools and a pump, provided they are not all starting at once. Motors in pumps and compressors can draw several times their running current as they start, so allow headroom for your largest motor. Check the compliance plate on each item for its running and starting power, then add them up.
