6.8kVA Gentech Mine Spec Diesel Generator ED6800YSRE-MINE

The ED6800YSRE-MINE is a Mine Spec single phase diesel generator with a maximum output of 6.8kVA at 0.8 power factor. A Yanmar L100N5 diesel engine drives a 7kVA-rated alternator at 230V, and the engine starts by recoil or electric start.

Key features

• A detachable fire extinguisher is fitted, so fire response equipment stays with the generator.

At 6.8kVA and 0.8 power factor, the set gives about 5.4kW, which is about 23 amps in total. It typically runs site lighting, hand tools and small pumps within that figure. Motors draw several times their running load at start, so allow headroom for the largest motor and read the compliance plate on each appliance.
