The DE605 is a Cat C18 diesel generator set with a Leroy Somer alternator, rated at 605 kVA / 484 kW standby and 550 kVA / 440 kW prime.

Key features

What it will run

A set of 605 kVA is selected from the site's load schedule, not the nameplate. Record the running load on every circuit, add the starting demand of the largest motors (a motor can draw several times its running current as it starts), and check how the load divides across the phases. An engineer or electrician should assess the schedule before the set is specified.
