The Hyundai GHD5000E is a 6.5kVA (5kW) single phase diesel generator powered by the Hyundai CP192FE diesel engine. It gives a solid diesel output for home backup, farm and site work, with a 5.5 litre fuel tank, and it is rated for standby duty only.

On the farm or site it typically runs a pressure or transfer pump, a drop saw or a mid-size compressor alongside lighting. Motors draw a surge at start-up, so start the largest motor first and leave headroom. Ovens, electric hot water and large air conditioners can overload it. Check the rating plate on each appliance and keep the combined running load within 5kW.
The GHD5000E suits households that want diesel backup through storms and outages, farms with pumps and workshop gear to keep going, and trades on sites where diesel is already the fuel on hand. Home connection is only through an inlet and changeover switch installed by a licensed electrician.
