The TRACTORPACK-050 is a three phase tractor PTO generator with an output of 50 kVA. It is an alternator driven through the tractor's power take-off (PTO) shaft instead of by an engine of its own, so the tractor supplies the power.

What it will run
At 50 kVA the TRACTORPACK-050 typically suits three phase farm loads such as bore and irrigation pumps, dairy plant, cold rooms and workshop machinery, provided they do not all start at once. Motors draw several times their running current as they start, so allow for the largest motor's start as well as the running total, and check the compliance plate on each machine for its voltage, phase and current. Kilowatts come from multiplying a kVA rating by the load's power factor, and most motors run at a power factor below 1. The tractor sets the other limit: it needs enough PTO power for the load.
