5.9kVA Pramac Diesel Generator P6000

The P6000 is a single phase diesel generator rated 5.9kVA (5.3kW) standby (LTP) at 50Hz, with a power factor of 0.9. It is powered by a Yanmar L100N, an air-cooled, naturally aspirated 435cm³ diesel running at 3000 rpm under a mechanical governor, and it starts electrically. The alternator is a two pole brush-type unit with Class H insulation, IP23 protection and AVR 520 electronic voltage regulation.

What it will run

At 5.3kW standby the P6000 supplies about 22A at 240V (5.3kW / 240V, approximate). That typically covers lighting, a fridge or cool room, a pressure pump and workshop power tools on one single phase supply, as long as the larger motors are not all starting at once. Motors in pumps and compressors draw several times their running current at start, so size the set against your largest motor first. Check the compliance plate on each appliance for its running and starting figures, then add them up.
