430kVA Perkins Diesel Generator GP400S

The GP400S is a three phase, 415V, 50Hz diesel generator set powered by a Perkins 2206C-E13TAG3, a six cylinder, 12.5 litre, turbocharged and aftercooled engine running at 1500 rpm. The alternator is a brushless Leroy Somer LSA47.2VS4 with an AVR.

Each set comes with a local load-test certificate and a fuel and oil filter kit, and is load and function tested.

What it will run

The GP400S typically suits the combined three phase load of a plant or large building: production machinery, chillers, large pumps and compressors, and building services. Specify it from a site load schedule rather than the nameplate, and have an electrician or engineer assess running loads, motor starting and phase balance. The compliance plate on each large motor gives its running and starting load. The GP400S prime rating is for variable load at an average 75% load factor, with 10% overload for one hour in twelve, and its standby rating is for emergency supply at an average 85% load factor, with no overload and a limit of 400 hours a year.
