30kVA iGo2Zero Hybrid Generator PH30/60

The iGo2Zero PH30/60 is a 30kVA three phase hybrid generator (415V, 50Hz) that pairs a Yanmar 4TNV98 diesel generator with 60kWh of LiFePO4 battery storage and 5 x 460W solar panels in one integrated system. The Yanmar is a naturally aspirated, four cylinder, 3.319 litre engine running at 1500 rpm with a mechanical governor, driving a brushless Leroy Somer alternator with AVR. A DEIF AGC150 controller manages the unit, and a four pole circuit breaker provides protection.

Key features

• Solar, battery and diesel generator work as one system, so the battery and the solar panels (2,300W in total) take part of the load and the diesel generator runs for fewer hours.
• The 60kWh LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery is built from 5.12kWh, 51.2V packs rated for at least 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge.
• The alternator is brushless with an AVR (automatic voltage regulator) to hold output voltage steady, and harmonic distortion is less than 5%.
• A visualised smart control system and a remote monitoring control system show how the unit is operating.
• The canopy is silenced, with a rating of 60 dB(A) at 7 m.
• A mechanical governor regulates the engine's speed as the load changes.

The 100 litre fuel tank gives about 18.6 hours of run time at 75% load, working from the 5.37 L/hr consumption at that load.

What it will run

Site loads, not the kVA figure alone, set what a 30kVA hybrid system can run. The rating is apparent power, so the usable power in kW depends on the power factor of the loads. Add up what operates together, allow for the surge that motors, pumps and compressors draw at start-up, and work out the hours each item runs per day, because the stored energy in the battery and the fuel in the tank decide how long the system keeps going.
