20kVA iGo2Zero Hybrid Generator PH20/30

The iGo2Zero PH20/30 is a 20kVA three phase hybrid generator (415V, 50Hz) that combines a Yanmar 4TNV84 diesel generator, 30kWh of LiFePO4 battery storage and 5 x 460W solar panels in one integrated system. The Yanmar is a naturally aspirated, four cylinder, 1.995 litre engine running at 1500 rpm with a mechanical governor, driving a Leroy Somer TAL-A40-F brushless alternator with AVR. A DeepSea 7420 controller manages the unit, and a four pole circuit breaker provides protection.

Key features

• Solar, diesel generator and battery storage come together in one unit, so a commercial site has a single hybrid system to plan around.
• The battery and the solar panels (2,300W in total) supply part of the load, so the diesel generator runs for fewer hours.

The 100 litre fuel tank gives about 27 hours of run time at 75% load, working from the 3.75 L/hr consumption at that load, and an external fuel connection is provided. The unit has a silenced canopy.

What it will run

A 20kVA hybrid system is sized by the site's loads rather than by the kVA figure alone. The rating is apparent power, so the usable power in kW depends on the power factor of the loads. List everything that runs at once, allow for the surge that motors, pumps and compressors draw when they start, and work out how many hours each item runs per day, because the battery's stored energy and the diesel's fuel set how long the system keeps going.
