2.2kVA Yanmar Diesel Generator GYD2000E

The GYD2000E is a 2.2kVA (2kW) Yanmar powered diesel generator, single phase at 240V and 50Hz. Its Yanmar L48AE-DEG is an overhead valve, single cylinder diesel of 296cc running at 3000 rpm, with electric start. The alternator is an AC synchronous brushless type with Class H insulation, and the outlets are two switched 10A GPOs with thermal overload.

What it will run

At 2kW (about 8.3A at 240V), the GYD2000E typically runs lights, a fridge or freezer, a TV, device chargers and small power tools, with the combined load kept under 2kW. The generator sets the limit, not the two 10A outlets: together they can supply no more than about 8.3A. Motors in compressors, pumps and power tools draw a surge at start, so read each appliance's compliance plate and allow for that surge before you rely on the set.
