The DE16-SP is a stationary, single phase diesel generator set. Its Cat C2.2 engine drives an LCB1114M alternator from the LC Series.

Key features

• The Cat C2.2 is a four-cylinder, four-stroke diesel of 2.2 litres with in-line cylinders and natural aspiration, meaning no turbocharger to maintain.
• Water cooling uses a mechanical, centrifugal water pump, so coolant circulation does not depend on a separate electric pump.

Motors need extra, because compressors, pumps and air conditioners draw several times their running current as they start, so stagger them.
