13kVA ABLE Diesel Generator FS13X1

The FS13X1 is a single phase diesel generator producing 240V at 50Hz with a power factor of 1.0. It is powered by a FAWDE 4DW81-23D, a four-cylinder, water-cooled diesel running at 1500 rpm, and drives a four-pole brushless synchronous alternator with AVR. A 12 volt battery is included for electric start, and protection is an IP67-enclosed RCD plus over current protection.

Key features

• At a power factor of 1.0 the kVA and kW ratings are the same figure, so the full rating is available as kW.
• The brushless alternator has no brushes to replace, and its AVR keeps the voltage steady as the load changes.
• An external switch or controller can start the set through the two-wire remote start input on the ComAp AMF20.
• One 32A and three 15A outlets are rated IP66 (dust tight and protected against powerful water jets), and hardwire terminals are fitted for a fixed connection.
• The canopy is lockable, which restricts access to the set, and it is sound deadened with a weather-resistant powder coat and stainless steel fittings.
• Mine site ready bunding is included to contain fuel spills on sites that need it.

Noise is 63 dB(A) at 7 m. Prime power is available for an unlimited number of annual hours on a variable load.

What it will run

The FS13X1 supplies single phase power at 240V with a rated current of about 54A. Typically that suits a workshop, a farm with pumps and power tools, a small shop or office, or the essential circuits of a home: lighting, fridges and freezers, a pressure pump and an air conditioner. An air conditioner, compressor or pump can draw several times its running current at start-up, so leave room for the largest motor you plan to start. Check each appliance's compliance plate for its running and starting power, add the figures up, and keep the total within the output of the set.
