1375kVA Cummins or Perkins Diesel Generator GC1250S / GP1250S

The GC1250S is a Cummins-powered three phase diesel generator set rated at 1250kVA (1000kW) prime and 1375kVA (1100kW) standby at 415V and 50Hz. Perkins power comes as the GP1250S; the figures here are for the Cummins GC1250S. The engine is a Cummins KTA50G3, turbocharged and aftercooled, running at 1500rpm with an electronic governor, and the alternator is a brushless Stamford S6L1D-H with AVR. Control is by a Deep Sea 8610 MKII synchronising controller, with a four pole circuit breaker.

What it will run

At 1250kVA prime and 1375kVA standby (1000kW and 1100kW), the GC1250S is sized from the site's load schedule, not from a list of appliances. It typically suits large industrial plant, processing sites, large commercial buildings and pumping or utility installations on three phase 415V. Have an electrician or engineer work through the site's running loads, the starting current of the biggest motors and any step loads before the set is specified. Standby power (ESP) is an emergency supply at an average load factor of 85%, with no overload capability and a limit of 400 hours a year. Prime power (PRP) is continuous operation at variable load for unlimited hours a year, with an average load factor of 75% and 10% overload for 1 hour in 12.
