The Welling & Crossley WC-P11250i is an open frame petrol inverter generator rated at 10.8kVA, delivering 9000W maximum and 8500W rated single phase output at 230/240V, 50Hz. It is driven by the Euro 5 compliant WC-460B single cylinder, 4 stroke OHV engine with DCDI ignition, and it offers four ways to start: recoil, electric, 2-wire and remote. What it will run

At 8500W rated, the WC-P11250i supplies roughly 35 A at 240V (approximate) across its outlets, with no more than 15 A from the 15 Amp outlet. That is typically enough for a fridge and freezer, lights, TV, internet and a microwave or kettle together during a blackout, or several power tools, a compressor and lighting on a work site. Electric motors such as pumps, compressors and air conditioners draw a surge at start-up, so start the largest motor first and leave headroom. Always check the plates on your appliances and add up the running watts before you connect them.

The WC-P11250i works as well for backup as it does for work. Wired to an automatic transfer switch it takes over through an outage, on the farm it runs pumps and workshop gear, and on site it carries a trade crew's tools.
