A 100 kVA three phase supply typically suits large farm loads such as pumping, processing, sheds and farm houses, within the rating. Work from the site's actual loads: list each machine with its running and starting current from the compliance plate, and have an electrician or engineer assess the total, including how single phase loads such as lighting and house circuits are spread across the three phases. The kilowatts available equal the kVA rating multiplied by the load's power factor. The tractor is the other half of the match: its PTO has to supply enough power for the load, and its fuel tank sets how long the set can run.
